Background
Prior to becoming Kabuni, Whole New Home was a platform that connected interior decorators and designer professionals directly with homeowners. It had over 2340 registered Home Designers and a portfolio of over 40,000 home décor and furniture products.
My Role
I was hired by Whole New Home to help make the switch from a PHP based web application to a full stack Ruby on Rails application.
I was in charge of the front end development of the switch, as well as being on the UI/UX team to drive the app forward.

Outcome
The whole team had a deadline of 4 months in order to finish making the switch. Having a well-thought plan we could make the switch in 3 months, giving the CEO plenty of room to make rounds for funding and leading to what eventually became Kabuni.
